w.a.s.h.
w.a.s.h. is a collaborative alias. In collaboration with artist and friend, Simon Alleman, we create this body of work that continues to grow.
Artists' Statement:
Most people like the idea of new beginnings and clean slates. It makes us happy. In our case, we wanted something new, something fresh to us, something that fulfills our hankering for an escape from this economic zombie land. This work brings about a stimulating visual and mental experience, void of politics, economics, and pop culture icons. The autonomous nature of our work creates a constant evolutioniin our images, revealing amoebas penetrating eggs, drops of ooze, a grub bus with teeth, and even pink pimply warts on a nervous system. Our new work runs like water captured in the moment. Water is nourishment, revitalizing, ever changing a landscape, and useful in artistic creation. As water breeds and replenishes life, cleaning and carving a new environment, it allows us to facilitate those actions in a similar way through w.a.s.h.
