Quietly every Green Guedry patiently waits. The air is still. Musk. They’ve smelled it before. It’s a reminder of their kin that were trampled and smothered by towering mud with fangs. Suddenly, the ground grows the monster. From around it grows fear. Fear and concern. How does one contain a constantly shifting mass? The concern is justified and now the outcome is clear. Save the ropes. They won’t work.
En silence, tous les Guédrys verts du coin attendent, avec patience. Pas un souffle dans l’air. Une odeur de musc. Pas la première fois qu’ils la reniflent. Cela leur rappelle quand leurs proches s’étaient fait piétinés et étouffés par un soulèvement de boue avec des crocs. Tout à coup, la terre est secouée par le monstre. Tout autour, c’est la peur qui grandit. La peur et l’inquiétude. Comment faire pour maîtriser une masse en mouvement perpétuel? L’inquiétude est justifiée et l’issue est désormais sans appel. Pas la peine de cordes. Elles ne feront pas l’affaire.
