In Quantum Divergence, I’ve created my interpretation of a water source diverged. This piece is my response to the state of Louisiana having the US Army Corps of Engineers open the Bonnet Carré Spillway just miles north of New Orleans, LA in 2011. The swell of the river would have reached flood stage, 17 feet, near city, if 90% of the bays of the spillway had not been open. I used sediment from the Mighty Mississippi to create the naturally brown tactile surface.
